Pastor Wayne North

Hello,

I'm Pastor Wayne. I have been the senior pastor since 2004. My passion is seek after God's passion and plans. I want to be a co-laborer with Christ. Are you like me? I really dislike religion. Most of religion is man-made or at least man-twisted. It either produces legalism or lawlessness. We must get to the place of harmony with scripture. A place where the free gift of grace empowers us to live a holy life. We must be justified and sanctified through the power and blood of Jesus Christ.

Do the times we live in frighten you? What fears drive and control you? What nightmares are relived each night? It's time for the church to rise up and meet the needs of our society. Be a church that is relevant for the 21st century. It's time we cleanse ourselves, fleeing from evil, live a Nazarite life and seek Him out with all of my heart, mind and spirt. It's time for all generations to rise up and to be the world changers. That's my goal, to mentor and disciple world changers

First, I am in total agreement with the Seventh Day Baptist Statement of Belief. Yet, this is only a starting point for my beliefs and doctrine. I want every belief I have to be tested and proved against scripture. While, I can be stubborn for God and His ways, I strive to be humble in hearing other view points before making scripturely based decisions. I recall that Jesus was very passionate about fulfilling the will of His Father.

Our church chooses to worship on the seventh day of the week because it was the only day set apart by God with a special blessing. It is not a means of salvation, just like any other commandment cannot be. We must strive to follow His standards understanding none of us will make it on His own merit. We must be like Christ, His personality in order to produce His fruit, the Fruit of the Spirit. God is very plain and open about His thoughts and ordinances, yet we justify it away many times.

I also believe in the Spiritual Gifts that are released via the Fruits of the Spirit. Each of us has been given unique gifts and talents to be used to build the Body of Christ. The Body of Christ has been weakened because of man's selfishness. We must die to ourselves each day and allow the resurrection power of Jesus Christ to raise us up to overcome the enemy and this world. We do this by allowing the Holy Spirit to impart Jesus' character upon our very being. God wants an intimate relationship with us, not by legalism or lawlessness, but by imparting the power of grace through the shed blood of Jesus Christ. Jesus didn't die for me to live more for myself. Any image I mold God into becomes a god, an idol. God met us on our level to raise us up to His level. I believe in prophecy, deliverance, healings, word of knowledge, miracles, etc. I have walked in these gift-ings as well as others not for my sake, but in His honor. You too have spiritual gifts you are too walk in. My goal is teach and train people by the guidance of the Holy Spirit to walk in His wisdom and power to overcome this world and release His will into this world. We must walk in the path of Christ, the supernatural path, seeing through His eyes, hearing through His ears, reaching out through His hands, etc.

I believe the whole Bible is truth. Any argument or disagreement about its meaning is due to our sinful, cluttered minds. The Bible must have consistency from Genesis through Revelation for all of mankind. We must mold the interpretation of scripture within the whole context of examples and other scripture. God has not changed. Neither has His word. I believe our beliefs and doctrines should be totally dependant upon scripture first. Man's tradition of "church" should be ever changing towards His standard. As humans, we enjoy habits, yet many times these hold us back from truly imitating God's attributes within our lives and churches.

I believe that as we live out the Great Commission we will encounter three battles: within our own wills, with the world and with satan and his demons. We must systematically use the examples Christ gave us to defeat each of these situations. Our weapons are not carnal. He has equipped us with the Word, prayer, the name of Jesus, the blood of Jesus, discernment, each other, church families, etc. to overcome the things in this world. As the days grow darker, His light within us will grow brighter. I believe we are living in the most exciting days in the history of the earth. He is equipping His people for a great revival. I want to be part of that movement.

I believe God is calling us out of our comfortable religion. It's time to prepare and be promoted. He's looking for humble and willing hearts. Church has become a "club" mentality, people go unless something better comes along. We must enlist! Shame on us for not revealing the hope that lives inside us. Come and visit our "family" church. Hear the Good News, not watered down half truths. Get plugged in and start using your gifts. Engage the world.
